Dr. Roben Ahdoot is a board certified interventional radiologist
and a recognized expert in the treatment of Fibroid tumors.
Dr. Ahdoot received his bachelor of sciences at UCLA and then
entered Chicago Medical School to receive his MD in 1995. Dr.
Ahdoot's interest in the field of Radiology was fostered by
great mentorship by radiologists in Chicago Medical Center.
He pursued a residency at UCLA Harbor Medical Center in the
field of Radiology. In 2001 he was awarded his board certification
by the American Board of Radiology. During his fellowship Dr.
Ahdoot had the opportunity to work with Interventional Radiologists
at UCLA and was amazed by the work they did in treating tumors
and other medical conditions in an outpatient setting without
the need for surgery or general anesthesia. His interest in
treating his patients in a minimally invasive fashion with much
reduced risk led him to apply and accept a highly competitive
fellowship at Emory University Hospital in Interventional Radiology
and MRI. Dr. Ahdoot completed this fellowship in 2001 and since
then has focused his attention to the application of minimally
invasive treatment of tumors and other diseases that before
required a surgical solution. Dr. Ahdoot is the Chief Interventional
Radiologist at Hawthorne Radiology Associates Group at California
hospital, Intra-operative Consultant for Fibroid Embolization
- UCLA CHS Special Center for (Endovascular) Surgery, Director
of Radiology at 3 Tesla MRI Imaging and Research Center, and
is active as a consultant in treating patients in several other
hospitals and radiology centers.
Dr. Ahdoot has published many articles and is active in teaching
